Bookshop Description

Scotland's Leading Independent Christian Bookshop- a Business Ministry of Gospel Literature Outreach, registered Scottish Charity SC049681. Purchases help support our task of sharing Good News locally & globally. Description The GLO Bookshop is part of the wider GLO ministry, and we specialise in resourcing churches and individuals. The Centre provides conferencing facilities and a coffee shop which provides a service to the local community. Surplus income from these Business Ministries is used to support the wider GLO ministry. We're grateful for the support of our staff and volunteers, who contribute greatly to the finance we provide to the wider work. General Information We look forward to welcoming you to the GLO Bookshop in Motherwell. You can shop with us via our web-shop, by phone, email, Facebook, Twitter - but we do really like it when people call in to see us in Motherwell! If using SATNAV or internet direction, we suggest you use the following address & postcode- Pollock Street Motherwell ML1 1LP. This will bring you into the car park entrance- there is no vehicular access to the Centre from Muir Street. We have a good sized car park at the Centre with dedicated disabled places. The car park can be very busy over the lunchtime period, and a space cannot be guaranteed. The car park is restricted to customers & visitors to the Centre, and is regularly patrolled. Mission. The wider vision of GLO is to establish Church planting teams throughout Europe and to support them through Short Term mission trips. We are also committed to training and equipping Christians for mission and ministry so that they can effectively serve God and share their faith. Our training department is Tilsley College which offers a range of courses under its 'Training for Service' programme. The one year, accredited, residential course combines theological and biblical reflection with ministry practice. Our second year internship course enables students to continue with study while gaining practical experience in association with a local church. Part-time study is also possible through our Open Access courses and through the 'Joshua' evening classes. We work in partnership with other national GLO organisations throughout the world. More details of this work can be found on our main website www.glo-europe.org.
