Win the YA Book Prize 2022 shortlist and 3 months of Bookily

10 books teens will love (and so will you!)

This year's YA Book Prize shortlist has been revealed and we're delighted to give away sets of all 10 books to three lucky winners – plus a 3-month Bookily card loaded with £8.99 per month so readers can pick a new YA book each month in bookshops or online.

The YA Book Prize launched in 2014 as the first prize to focus specifically on British and Irish fiction for young adults. The prize celebrates great books for young people and aims to get more teens reading and buying books.

This year's amazing shortlist features:

Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
The Yearbook by Holly Bourne
Skin of the Sea by Natasha Bowen
Afterlove by Tanya Byrne
The Upper World by Femi Fadugba
You're The One That I Want by Simon James Green
Hani and Ishu's Fake Guide to Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar
The Crossing by Manjeet Mann
House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland
First Day of My Life by Lisa Williamson

There's something for everyone on the list, which features a whole host of genres – from contemporary to fantasy to thrillers and romance – and covers a wide range of themes and issues including institutional racism, time travel, first loves, friendship, and the refugee crisis.

The YA Book Prize 2022 winner will be revealed in a live ceremony at Edinburgh International Book Festival (sponsored by National Book Tokens for over 35 years!) on Thursday 25th August.

Bookily is a monthly National Book Token that can be used in hundreds of bookshops, and online. Find out more at bookily.co.uk.
