Roald Dahl Day is 13th September and, to celebrate, we're testing your knowledge of this beloved children's author with a quiz written by Matthew Dennison, author of Teller of the Unexpected: The Life of Roald Dahl, An Unofficial Biography.

Discover how National Book Tokens support reading for everyone.

The Life of Roald Dahl

"Roald Dahl, who died in 1990, is one of the best-loved authors of all time. Across the globe, more than 250 million copies of his books have been sold. As well as being a wonderful storyteller, Roald had an exciting wartime career, including as a spy. For much of his life, he lived in the same house in Buckinghamshire, in a garden full of blue and green budgerigars where, in his famous writing hut, in a specially adapted chair, Roald wrote by hand, using yellow pencils imported from the United States." - Matthew Dennison
