Bookshop Description (Est. 2010)

Book-ish (Winner of the Best Independent Bookshop Award 2020) is the bookshop you thought no longer existed, located at the centre of 2018's Best High Street in Britain: Crickhowell, in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park.

Our philosophy is simple: we want to connect people to books, help children to develop a lifelong love of reading and encourage conversation around books and reading. We offer a friendly, quality service and are happy to talk about books all day long; just try and stop us!

We stock a huge range of books, gifts for book lovers, games and cards curated by a team of passionate booksellers. We have customers all over the world and pride ourselves in our unique customer experience; and we also do exceptionally good cakes.

Besides hosting events, book clubs, discussion groups, game nights and quizzes, we run the Crickhowell literary festival, we’re the official bookshop at the Green Man festival, and we're passionate about supporting school teachers and librarians across Wales.

Opening hours: Mon-Sat 9am-5.00pm; Sun 10am-4pm

Specialisms:

Children's

Gifts for book lovers, traditional toys, jigsaw puzzles, board games and our famous scented candles.
